As a landscape artist it is hard to escape the influence of Impressionism. My style can change depending on the medium, the composition or by experimentation, but there is nearly always this influence hovering somewhere.

My aim is to convey a certain perspective, a depth, an atmosphere, or a memory of a place, or a sense of place, in time.

Combined with a more free form expression, these themes remain apparent in my abstract work, which I leave you to interpret for yourselves. The objective in all my art is not to imitate or translate literally from a sketch, or other influence, but to create something unique.
